simple DSLR hack. Let me decompose the last part of this statement in the interest of clarity. I'm a simple man. Technology scares and confuses me so I'm more than just a little suspicious of it and my capacity to master it. DSLR stands for Digital Single Reflect Camera. This is the "fancy" kind of digital camera that looks like the ones we used in the days before the internet. I'm a hack because I've had no absolutely no formal training in photography. What little I've learned has come from two and a half years of compulsively taking pictures.
My goal is to write a blog for folks like me that gives some insight into my triumphs and struggles with my Canon Rebel XT . This is not an unbiased site and I make no promises of completeness or correctness (political or otherwise). Although I've taken at least 100,000 pictures with my Rebel, I still remember how it felt to hold it in my hands the first day and have virtually no idea what to do with it. I'll try to share a few key learnings that have made this camera one of my most prized possessions.
Simple people (like me) don't take time to organize their thougths. You have been warned!
